Proposal Prepared for True North

True North, a beloved short-term rental destination in Nisswa, is preparing to launch its e-commerce platform. This project will enhance the guest experience by offering branded merchandise that embodies the spirit of adventure and connection that True North is known for. As True North readies for the summer season and its influx of repeat guests, the timing is perfect to introduce an online store that not only serves as a revenue stream but also deepens the guests' sense of belonging. The newly developed website, hosted on Wix and using Printful for fulfillment, will feature exclusive product designs and optimized content aimed at boosting visibility and establishing True North as a travel authority. My role in this endeavor spans from web development and user experience design to SEO-driven content creation and unique product illustration, ensuring that every aspect of the e-commerce platform is aligned with True North’s vision and guest expectations.

Problems

While True North has successfully established a connection with its guests through its cabin rentals, there are specific areas where my expertise is needed to enhance the e-commerce experience:

User experience and web development practices that could hinder the functionality and effectiveness of the new e-commerce platform, potentially affecting sales and customer satisfaction.
Insufficient SEO and content strategy, which are crucial for increasing online visibility and establishing a strong digital presence in a competitive travel market.
Need for professional guidance on best practices for communication and user experience to ensure that all digital interactions enhance guest satisfaction and brand loyalty.

Solutions

To address these challenges and optimize the e-commerce operations for True North, I will undertake the following steps:

Design unique product illustrations and branding elements that are not generic but rather deeply tied to the True North experience, enhancing the brand’s appeal and emotional connection with customers.
Refine the user interface and overall user experience of the website, making sure that it is intuitive, attractive, and easy to navigate, thereby reducing bounce rates and boosting conversion rates.
